Have you been thinking of getting a pet for a while? It’s difficult to take on the responsibility of another living being when your work keeps you busy and you lack the time needed to provide for it. But we all want a companion to come home to. It’s nice to come home to warmth and cuddles. Cats are the perfect pets if that’s what you are looking for. Not all of you may be fans of cats but here’s why they make the perfect pets.

1. They do just fine alone. They are independent and do not need constant attention. They can take care of themselves and owning a cat is not a full-time job. It’s not a huge responsibility that you take on.

2.They are low maintenance and don’t need litter training or baths for that matter. Cats are clean creatures and don’t need grooming. Cats are really smart and litter trains itself.

3.They keep your house free of rodents and the creepy crawlies. They are predators and ensure you don’t have to deal with rats or cockroaches.

4. Cats reduce stress with their cuddles and purring. Their purring is known to be therapeutic and releases tension. Petting them and feeling their fur on your hand also releases happy hormones. Moreover, they are adorable.

5. Cats can adjust in a small apartment so you don’t have to worry about them taking up much space. They don’t need much space and in fact, they love small and confined places to curl up in.

6. Cats are smart and have a personality. They are attention seekers. They constantly want your attention and love and make you feel important and wanted.

7. They are fun to play with. They are active and can go crazy with something as simple as a piece of ribbon or thread or a ball of wool. They keep you entertained.
