A lot of us worry about our weight, some worry that it’s too less and some worry that it’s too much. We are so focused on our weight that we tend to forget what is actually important. We just have that one number stuck in our heads and we are busy working hard and sweating it out to reduce that number into our perfect weight. Weight loss has now become all about the number than about health and fitness. We don’t just want to be healthy and fit we want much more and we can never have enough. We are so focused on perfectionism that we don’t realize how it impacts us and hampers our lives. Here is why you need to stop stressing about weight loss and focus on your health instead.

1. You are healthy, not fat. When we say FAT, we talk about obesity. You are fine as long as you are not obese. Focus on staying healthy and fit. A little bit of muscle or extra weight on your bones doesn’t make you fat.

2. Don’t conform to society’s beauty norms. Each and every person is beautiful no matter what size or shape are in. Love your body the way it is and don’t focus on the number until and unless it is a cause for concern. Accept your body the way it is.

3. Remember that weight loss takes time. Don’t try to rush it or strain your body. Take things slow and it will happen over time. Weight loss is not something you can rush your body into.

4. Don’t compare your body to the celebrities and models. Remember that their pictures are airbrushed and photoshopped. There is nothing known as the perfect body. Don’t set unrealistic goals for your body.

5. Don’t make your happiness about achieving your weight loss goals. Your weight should have nothing to do with your happiness.

6. Life is too short to not eat what you love. Moreover, remember that stressing about weight loss can be a cause for eating disorders.
