Moisture and germs can create havoc in your life during the monsoon. It’s essential to protect your home and health by keeping your home clean.
Monsoon is a beautiful season but it does have a temperament. You never know when the clouds will unleash their wrath on your city. We may love the rains, but the walls of your home will be in pain. It’s important to keep your home clean and protect it from the moisture that comes with the rains. It’s the season of germs and creepy crawlies and mosquitoes. It’s important to keep your home protected from all of those. It’s much easier to catch a bug or flu or an infection during this season. An apple isn’t the only thing that will keep the doctor away this season. It’s also essential to protect your home and furniture from getting destroyed this monsoon. Here are some tips to keep your home clean during the rainy season.
1. Keep a tub of water and a cleaning cloth/towel near the door when you leave. Clean your feet and your legs before you walk into your house. Keep the mud and dirty water away from your home.

2. Use a good disinfectant for cleaning your floors and try to keep your home dry and moisture free.

3. Don’t keep any stagnant water around you. You don’t want to breed mosquitoes and fall prey to malaria.

4. Check and ensure you don’t have any damp walls. Damp walls are a breeding space for molds and fungus. Clean your walls with a dusting cloth or vacuum cleaner.

5. Keep your bathroom clean and dry. We normally wash off the dirt and mud in the bathroom and forget to clean the bathroom itself. Don’t breed any organism there. Shut the lid of your toilet to keep mosquitoes at bay. Use a wiper to dry your bathroom after use.

6. Clean your furniture regularly and protect it from moisture. Keep it away from damp walls and windows.

7. Use a heater or a high voltage bulb to keep the moisture away from smaller places like a storeroom and such.
