Our favorite heels also get damaged if not taken care of. They require as much care as our clothes or skin for that matter. Spend some time on caring and maintaining your heels.
We, women, invest a lot of time and energy and money in heels. We go through a lot of pain to pick the perfect pair of heels as per our style and then we also go through a lot of pain wearing these heels for a long time but that's not all. We often forget to care for our heels the way we would with any other thing. Our heels mean a lot more to us than just a pair of footwear. They glam up our outfit and make us feel more confident. But it's also important to care for them so that they last longer because that perfect pair of heels is not easy to find. Along with everything else, it's time that we invest a little time in caring for our favorite footwear as well.
Here are some tips to take care of your heels.

1. As soon as you take your heels off, check them for any damage. The sole of your heels get damaged often and lose the grip. Check it so that you can maintain your heels and have the sole replaced if needed.

2. If your heels get wet, don't forget to dry them out. Not drying them out may cause them to stink. Sometimes damp heels may also end up with catching fungus.

3. When you store your heels and don't wear it for a while, take out some time to clean your heels and remove dust from it. If the material of your heel is leather or suede or any other material that requires special care, ensure that you do the needful.

4. Find a good cobbler who knows how to maintain can fix your heels. Most of us end up taking our heels to a regular local cobbler in order to save a few bucks but that may damage your heels more.

5. Don't drive in heels. Driving puts a lot of pressure on your heel and may cause it to crack or break. Keep an extra pair of comfy footwear in your car to drive in.

6. Always clean your heel as soon as you get home. Your heels come in contact with a lot of dirt and need to be cleaned. Take a dry cloth or wet, as per your needs and wipe off the dirt from your heels.
