Ganesh Chaturthi is almost around the corner. The happiest time of the year and especially in Mumbai when everyone is living on a major high. The elephant god makes his way in all of our homes and our hearts. It is that time when all the roads are abuzz and lit up in the positive spirit. The best part about Ganesh Chaturthi is all the songs and dance that follows. Bollywood too has painted itself in the colours of Bappa by composing some really interesting and foot-tapping numbers.

Deva Shree Ganesha

One song which definitely pumps you to another level. This song is featured in the Hrithik Roshan - Priyanka Chopra starrer Agneepath which was a remake of the original film with the same name. The song is composed by the famous duo, Ajay and Atul. 

Deva O Deva Ganpati Deva - Humse badkar kaun

This one song is played in almost every Ganesh Chaturthi festival. It just fills the spirit of enthusiasm and liveliness in the air. Almost everyone is extremely well-versed with the lyrics of this religious song. 

Sindoor Lal Chadhayo

This song is extremely popular especially on TV whenever one has to show aggression and the spirit of winning. The song topped the charts as soon as it was released and it still managed to make space for everyone in their hearts. The song is from the film Vaastav and is picturised on Sanjay Dutt. 

Tera Hi Jalwa 

Can a list ever be complete without the mention of Salman Khan? This song from the film, Wanted is a happy take on the Ganesha vibe. The song is composed by Sajid-Wajid and is a very peppy number. Definitely a solid pick during visarjan and dance performances. 

Shree Ganeshaya Dhimani

If there is that one song which will definitely give you goosebumps and instill your faith when you’re not feeling the vibes is this. From the film Viruddh, this song is picturised on Amitabh Bachchan, this song is composed by Ajay-Atul and is sung b y Shankar Mahadevan. This is also one of the songs which is performed on the most. 

Mourya Re 

Shahrukh Khan’s first ever Ganpati song from the action film, Don 2. The song is composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and is penned by the legendary Javed Akhtar. “Tujhko phir se jalwa dikhana hi hoga..agle baras aana hai..aana hi hoga”. The song sums up our emotions with regards to Bappa all too correctly. 

Ganpati apne gaon chale 

From the original Agneepath film, Ganpati apne gaon chale is filmed on Amitabh Bachchan and Mithun Chakraborty. It is this very song which gave us, “Ganpati Bappa Morya.. Pudhchya varshi lavkar yaa”.
