A lot of people have anxiety but some suffer from a specific type of anxiety known as social anxiety or social phobia.
WHAT IS SOCIAL ANXIETY?
Excessive fear, discomfort, anxiety and self-consciousness in social environment are signs of social anxiety. Public speaking or walking into a room full of strangers, giving a presentation or meeting new people may make some people fear and sweaty. Things which are normal for other people might be difficult for you to go through. Social disorder affects your mental health. It is hard to get out of it but there’s always a solution to it. When you have social disorder, you tend to avoid all social meetings and this may stress you.

The above symptoms will tell you if you suffer from social anxiety. Social anxiety usually comes around the age of 13. It can also be due to bullying, history of abuse or teasing. Genetics can also cause social anxiety. If your family member has social anxiety, it is likely that you’re more at risk to have it. Parents must try to give their kids as much exposure and make them socially active to trigger social anxiety.
If the kids are confident about themselves from a very early age, the chances of them being uncomfortable around people are very less.
