Diwali 2019: How to make this year's party the most fun and exciting one yet
It is the season of lights and celebrations. Almost everybody will be attending or hosting a Diwali party. Here are all the ways you can make it the most fun yet!
It is the time of joy and celebrations. The festival of lights is here and makes for an amazing time to spend with your loved ones. The entire country is alive with the feeling of celebrations and festivities in the air. This season is all about visiting people's homes or hosting a party in your own home and ensuring it is a party worth remembering!
This season is undoubtedly one of the busiest times of everybody's social calendars so the first thing you must remember to do, is send a small reminder to everybody you have invited. A simple "See you soon" should make for the perfect reminder for all your guests. And if you are stumped for ideas, we have tonnes for you!
Set a theme

Whether it is a certain colour where everybody needs to wear an outfit in the colour or a theme like "shaadi" or "bollywood", or dressing up in the style according to your guest's native places, this will ensure your guests put thought into what they wear. It will also ensure their imagination goes wild and therefore come up with something exciting and innovative.
Decor

Ensure that the decor matches with the theme you have set. Loads of flowers and diyas are a must anyway since it is the festival of lights, but smaller props like cardboard cuttings of Bollywood dialogues, etc. should do the trick and make the party more happening!
Games

Diwali is known for its infamous Taash parties, no doubt. But you can spice things up a little and whip out more games like MonoDeal, Scrabble (for the intellectuals), Taboo, Dumb Charades, etc. to make the evening more fun and entertaining.
Food

No party is complete with loads of food involved. It helps get the party started, helps in beginning conversations and makes for the perfect add on to the drinks and games. Ensure all the food is prepared and ready much before the guests arrive rather than you spending all the time in the kitchen with the food rather than having fun yourself.
Rangoli Competition

Everybody love a good competition and what better fit for the festivities than rangoli? Round people up into teams, stack them up with colours and give them a go signal, letting their imagination flow!
Drinks on the house!

To keep the good times rolling, keep the alcohol flowing! While the music is getting louder, keep making the drinks stronger so the party can get seriously LIT! Let the cocktails take over the rest of the night and everything else take a backseat as the alcohol sets in.

Firecrackers!

Diwali is incomplete without a round of pathakas. To add an element of surprise, don't inform your guests prior that there are going to be firecrackers - when they are getting ready to leave, bring out the crackers and let your guests have the time of their lives! Because no matter how old you are, one can never be too old for bright and shiny sparklers!
