We strongly believe that every one of our pets deserve a royal treatment. But the unfortunate reminder of our reality doesn’t permit us to treat our pets as lavishly as we’d like to. But there are pets of the royal families from around the world that get to enjoy a life of as much luxury as their owners - in fact, sometimes even more! They enjoy the luxury of private butlers, private air travel, gourmet cuisine, personal chef and much more! These famous pets have a fan following of their own - thanks to their own movies, merchandise, documentaries and even social media pages!

The canines of Elizabeth II

Elizabeth II’s love for canines is no secret. She has owned this particular breed of dogs since 1933 and made them a must have canine breed to have among all pet lovers in the world. The corgis only eat freshly cooked food where there are individual menus created specifically for each dog that are hand-delivered to them in porcelain bowls by their own individual butlers!

The dogs of Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria was also immensely fond of her dogs and had a separate cemetery built for the royal canines. They were given elaborate burials and their graves were marked with personalised tombstones. Some of her dogs also had their own portraits painted. These portraits are now on display across major museums in England!

Prince William and Duchess Kate’s dog, Lupo

The adorable couple are also pet parents to Lupo, who is an English cocker spaniel. No less of a royal himself, Lupo loves to live a life of royal luxury. The couple has been known to fly their dog on private helicopter rides on their international travels!

Turi, the royal pomeranian

Turi was the beloved pomeranian of Queen Victoria. The queen was also the founder of the pomeranian breed as we know it today. She was displeased with their originally bigger size and overlooked the breeding of the dogs to bring them down to a smaller size. In fact, she had also requested for Turi on her deathbed. He was with her till she drew her last breath.

Royal felines of Princess Michael of Kent

Needless to say, some royals are also fans of feline pets! Princess Michael of Kent has a host of Siamese and Burmese cats at her home and is often photographed with her fur babies!
