Every couple has a unique and beautiful relationship. The love and understanding that they share are different. But what happens when you have been together for quite a while? What is the next step? In this modern world, our priorities are much different than those of olden times. We are so focused on life and work that it gets difficult to spend enough time with your boyfriend or girlfriend. We want our lives hassle-free and happiness served on a platter in our way. Marriage is a hassle and live-in makes things much easier. It allows you to reach into the depths of your relationship and make it much easier to spend time with your partner and figure out your long-term plans together. But is moving in together a good idea? This is why it’s a great idea to live together.

1. It helps you understand how compatible you are with each other.

2. You can save rent and manage your finances. This helps you figure out your financial compatibility.

3. It helps you figure out your life and relationship beyond sex. Real-life starts post the honeymoon phase and living together helps your relationship in the long-term. It helps you understand if your relationship is strong enough to survive for the rest of your life.

4. It’s a test of your relationship. Can it survive the ups and downs of life? It helps you understand if you are capable and ready for a long-term commitment like marriage.

5. Sharing responsibilities makes your relationship stronger. It teaches you a thing or two about love and relationships and adjustment. It helps you accommodate each other in your lives.

6. Living together helps you build trust and understand each other’s boundaries. It allows you to build a life together and grow together.

7. When you live together and share your personal space with each other you get to learn more about each other. You learn the quirks and habits of your partner. Their habits may be good or bad or annoying but it helps you accept each other better and leaves no room for pretense. You get used to waking up together with bad breath and a bed head.

8. Our generation is bold and we don’t fear failed relationships. We would rather part ways than struggle in an unhappy relationship for the rest of our lives and live-in allows us to do the same. You can part ways if you know that your relationship cannot sustain in the long run. It saves you the heartache and headache of going through a divorce.
