Mothers Day – An open letter from daughters to all mothers
Mirror mirror on the wall, I am my mother after all...Happy Mother's Day, Mom...
Dear Mom’s,
I would like to begin by saying – thank you. Thank you for being the constant light at the end of the tunnel. For believing us when no one else did, for encouraging us each step of the day and for picking us up every time we fall.
Without you, we wouldn’t be half the people we are. As I sit and think about the biggest treasures this world has to offer, I realise how I was blessed with the most precious of them all – you. From holding my hand till the carpool, to taking care of me each time I was sick. From loving me when I struggled to love myself to waiting up till I got him at midnight. Thank you for every little thing that you do.
Thank you, for voluntarily being our punching bags. All those times we've been rude or selfish, we didn’t mean it. We’ve taken advantage of your unconditional love and we’re sorry. Thank you for forgiving us without a second thought and for still loving us anyway, that means everything.
Thank you mom's, for letting us cry our hearts out in front of you when some silly boy broke our hearts. You’ve always managed to turn things around and show us that life has only just begun. Thank you for being our relationship guides and our biggest secret keepers. And oh!, for threatening each boy who was of potential harm to our hearts. You’ve done a swell job.

As we’re slowly getting older, I realise more and more, the sacrifices you’ve made. You’ve always put our happiness before your own and it’s comforting and over whelming to know that you’d do it all over again, in a heartbeat.
No one can ever take your place and no matter how much we say thank you, we’ll never have all the words. We get one day in the year to show our gratitude towards you and that’s never going to be enough, either.

To conclude, we’d just like to say that today, when we look in the mirror, we no longer see 100% of ourselves, instead, we see a shadow of the magnificent woman who gave birth to us and raised us. We see you. And you know what? We couldn’t ask for more.
Thank you for every single thing, moms. Sorry for hurting you when we did and just know, that you are the most precious thing that our hearts hold. Happy Mother’s Day. We love you.
Here’s saluting all Mother’s in every part of the world. We’re grateful.
Lots of love,
Your daughters.
