Game of Thrones: These weird fan theories are going to make Season 8 even more interesting
Game of Thrones Season 8 is all set to premiere on April 14th this year
Game of Thrones is not just any other television show, it is a legit bundle of emotions. Fans of this fantasy fiction drama had to wait for a whole of a year and a half to finally get a glimpse of their favourite show. This is the last time that we’ll be taken to Winterfell as it is the last season. HBO dropped the teaser of this larger than life show and fans haven’t been able to keep calm ever since.
The short clip features the three Stark siblings, Jon Snow, Arya and Sansa Stark. We see them walking through the crypts of Winterfell. They pass through their family members statues and can hear their voiceovers in the background. As they finally reach the end where they see their own statues and we see the winter frost gripping the ground and approaching towards them.
Needless to say, the teaser has left the guessing game open with almost every GoT fan coming up with their own theories. These theories are definitely mind-boggling and leave you wanting for more. We’ve listed down some theories which will consume your mind and you’d definitely not be able to wait till April 14th, the season premiere.

Samwell Tarly is actually the ‘Boy who was promised’
We all know about the sweet and naive Sam who has had his fair share of ups and downs in the show. While if a theory is to be believed then it is Samwell Tarly who is Azor Ahai. For the uninitiated in George R.R Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, Azor Ahai is the one who fights the darkness with a red sword. It is said that Azor "arose to give courage to the race of men and lead the virtuous into battle with his blazing sword Lightbringer."
It is believed that Sam is secretly a Targaryen - the child of Rhaegar and his first wife Elia Martell. He was smuggled by Lord Varys and was sent to the Tarlys, one of the trusted most families of the Targaryen.

Tyrion made a deal with Cersei and will betray Daenerys
This theory is definitely a lot far fetched but many believe that this will indeed turn out true. Fans believe that Cersei and Tyrion got into an intense conversation in the final episode of the 7th season. What we were shown was Tyrion and Cersei having an intense chat wherein Tyrion was convincing his sister to join hands with Jon and Dany. He then notices that Cersei is pregnant. Fans assume that Tyrion must have promised her that he’ll keep the unborn child king/queen as he believes that Danerys cannot bear children. This theory somewhere explains his reaction when he hears Danerys and Jon having sex.

Jaime will kill Cersei
Jamie may kill his lover/sister Cersei as in this season 7 finale she becomes the Mad Queen. Cersei tells her brother/lover that she plans on betraying Dany and Jon and is not bothered that it might mean the destruction of the human race! This pushed Jamie to the edge and left his sister to head North! Now, they might come face to face and he might even kill his own sister! There have also been hints of this happening in the past seasons when Maggy the Frog who doubled as a seer made a prophecy when Cersei was young, that she would watch all her children die and be murdered as well! This makes for a rather crazy parallel for Jamie to be killing the Mad King at the time of Robert's Rebellion.

Tyrion is a Targaryen
It is no more a secret that Jon is a Targaryen, however, if this theory is anything to go by then Tyrion is actually a Targaryen and not a Lannister. It is being said that Tyrion is actually the son of Aerys Targaryen and Joanna, wife of Tywin Lannister. Aerys apparently impregnated Joanna and she died while giving birth to Tyrion. This takes us back to the word of Tywin Lannister who while dying told Tyrion that he is “no son of his”.
These theories have definitely left our heads spinning and we just cannot wait for the eighth season to come out live.
