Here’s how to make the perfect and delicious boiled eggs

Eggs are a versatile ingredient. From breakfast dishes like sandwiches and omelettes to desserts like meringue and cakes, you can make whatever you want from them. They are easy to make and are a rich source of protein.

When it comes to boiling the eggs, the 2 main ways to boil them are soft- boiled and hard-boiled. Soft-boiled eggs have a runny yolk and are creamy in texture. While in the case of hard-boiled eggs, both the egg white and egg yolk are firm and solid. For perfectly boiled eggs, getting the timing right is important. So we have for you an easy way to prepare perfectly boiled eggs every time you cook them!

Method

Take some cold water in a pot and place the eggs in. Make sure to not put too many eggs at once. Turn on the flame. Remove the pan from heat when the water starts boiling.

If you want your eggs white to be slightly soft and mushy, and the yolk to be liquidy, then cook the eggs for exactly 3 minutes.

For the egg yolk to be less liquidy and the egg white to be soft but slightly firm, cook your eggs for 4 minutes.

If you want the egg yolk to be runny and smooth, and the egg white to be soft but firm, then you should cook your eggs for 6 minutes.

For your egg white to be firm, and for the egg yolk to be firm yet creamy, boil your eggs for 10 minutes.

Finally, if you want both your egg white and egg yolk to be hard and solid, i.e. to be hard-boiled, then cook the eggs for 15 minutes.
