1. Veganism is not just a diet, it is a lifestyle. It’s a sustainable and animal-friendly lifestyle. It aims to follow the right ethics and morals and protect animals as well as humans and bring about a good change in the environment.

2. This diet does not lead to weight loss. This diet has nothing to do with weight loss. Don’t plunge yourself into this diet if you want to shed some kilos.

3. This diet means you cannot consume any milk or eggs or dairy products. Dairy products are a huge source of protein and calcium and iron. This means that you will need to include some supplements in your diet in order to make up for the loss.

4. You do not need to suddenly switch. It’s alright to take your own sweet time and slowly cut down the intake of animal products in your diet.

5. You may have to give up some of your favorite food. Your favorite food may include animal products that you might need to give up in order to switch to veganism.

6. This diet is more cost-effective. It cuts down the extra money you spend in departmental stores buying all the animal produce. This also limits the food you eat when you go out which saves the money you spend on chicken wings and spend it on legumes instead.

7. This also means that you will have to give up your leather belts and shoes and jackets and probably that favorite handbag made from snakeskin or crocodile skin along with the meat.
