Brands of today know how to keep up with the times and find ways to be the talk of the town. One of the biggest brands in the country - Amul, is the most exact example of a brand that tries to stay relevant with their sketches and doodles they create as tributes. Their latest one, is a shutout and tribute to the creative head of French luxury house of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld.

The creative head passed away a couple of days ago due to ill health and yet again, Amul hit the nail right on the spot and hasn't shied away from making its sentiments known about the loss of the iconic designer. The dairy brand has been through thick and thin and has advertising themes that range from topics like movies to politics from Bollywood to Hollywood! The brand is also known for its cheeky puns and has even used one such in Karl's tribute. "Lager than life. RIP Karl Lagerfeld (1933-2019)" the tribute with a black and white illustration with the Amul girl's features on the body of a man in a black suit, black sunglasses and slicked back white hair tied in a ponytail.

Though the designer's ideas were a little problematic, he was largely celebrated for his designs and the way in which he took the brand forward. He body shamed and fat-shamed women by making statements like "no one wants to see curvy women". He also didn't fit the industry's beauty standards, believed women should dress well for men, a misogynist and was known for making provocative and sometimes even offensive statements. The man labelled as a "controversial genius" even went on to call Adele fat! He was also dismissive about models who spoke up about sexual harassment when #MeToo swept through the industry.
