Italian fashion designer known for his romantic, over the top and fabulous tulle gowns, Giambattista Valli is the latest designer to team up with fast fashion brand H&M for the latter’s high-low offering. That only means that this capsule collection will entail lots and lots of tulle, ruffles and more dreamy outfits so that consumers can have the designer’s creations at a budgeted price.

Unlike past collaborations, this one will drop on Saturday around select stores with the final and larger collaboration launching on November 7.

The first few to sport these creations to make the announcement were Kendall Jenner, Chiara Ferragi and Ross Lynch who debuted their romantic tulle outfits at the Cannes Film Festival.

When questioned about his collaboration, the designer told Vogue, “The idea is to bring the Valli DNA of extraordinary, of one-of-a-kind uniqueness of couture. We have our fans and they see all these beautiful moments on the red carpet, Valli girls at official events. It is a nice way to share this favour with them.”

The secret is out … We proudly present @giambattistavalliparis x @hm. #ProjectOn 25 May 2019, a limited pre-drop from @giambattistavalliparis x @hm will be available in selected stores and at hm.com. The main collection is released worldwide on 7 November 2019.

The project, called “Project Love” is something that the designer had a lot of fun doing. “The thing that makes me most happy in life is if I can make somebody happy. It was very fun to do men’s for the first time. You know, girls pick up things from men’s wardrobes. The Valli boys get prints, some shapes, some materials and some embellishments from girls – they took it from her wardrobe,” he continued.

This collaboration is going to completely different from the Moschino collaboration which happened last year. “It is the first time we are working with someone doing couture ,” said a spokesperson of the brand. The collection has products ranging from $17.99 and goes up to $649 and will include accessories and outfits.
