Gucci celebrates Chinese New Year and unleashes a Canine Themed Collection

Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, has kicked the year off with on a rather astrological note, In correlation with the forthcoming Chinese New Year. According to Chinese astrology, 2018 is the year of the dog and Gucci launched a canine-themed collection. Alessandro’s Boston Terrier pooches, Bosco and Orso, have taken centre stage.

This is a capsule collection that has 63 pieces and the collection includes ready-to-wear clothing, jewellery, shoes, bags and more.Each item is playfully embellished with a Bosco or Orso face, illustrated by artist Helen Downie. They are Celebrating Chinese New Year with a special capsule collection featuring dog motifs. The collection was shot in a vintage and old school way and some of the pieces were played on Gucci's official Instagram. Here is a look at the collection:
