Easy HACKS to re-use your heavy Indian clothes
Do you have heavy ethnic clothes that you can’t wear more than once? Check out these hacks to re-use them in a very easy way.
It feels like we had just celebrated Diwali and the wedding season is already around the corner. I am sure you have a lot of outfits from Diwali lying around and don’t want to buy new one’s. Let’s be real, those heavy wedding outfits that we buy can only be worn once or twice. So here are some easy hacks to re-use these old heavy outfits and make the most out of them.
The Heavy Dupatta
We all have our favourite anarkalis and lehengas, but let’s be real they are always too heavy to wear. An easy hack to re-use it is to segregate the elements. The easiest way is to take the embroidered or embellished dupatta and wear it with a basic kurta and voila! You have a new outfit altogether. The dupatta will act at the dominating element in the outfit, pair it up with big jhumkas and you are ready to go.

The Lehenga Skirt
Contemporary lehenga sets are a raging trend right now and you are only one step away to create your own custom set. Take your favourite ghagra and team it up with a basic, solid coloured blouse, bodice or a shirt. Make sure the top is a trendy design to give the entire outfit a makeover. Team the newly customised outfit with long earings or colourful studs. Keep the makeup simple and let the outfit do all the talking.

Heavy Jewellery
Sometimes accessorizing a simple outfit is all that you need. Pair your heavy earrings or chokers with a basic simple kurta or anarkali. You can also let the diamonds shine with a simple saree. It is perfect for a pooja at home or days where you don’t feel like going all out with heavy clothes. A simple soft smokey eyes and dewy makeup is all you need to slay this outfit.

The Anarkali
The anarkali is the hardest to wear because it is the most elaborate and difficult to walk in. take your heavy garment and cut a slit in the middle from the waist down. You can also cut the anarkali all the way to make it into a jacket. Pair it with a solid coloured palazzo, this will balance the heaviness of the anarkali. Keep the look simple with loose curls and nude makeup.

The Blouse
This is not a tricky piece of garment. Pairing it with a simple skirt, saree, palazzo or straight pants can make you ready for any event whatsoever. For an indo-western look, style the blouse with pants and long contemporary earrings. The same blouse can be worn with a simple ghagra for a more Indian look.

We think these simple style hacks will make you look stunning for all the wedding events. Do you have any more hacks that we missed out on?
