Sheer kurtas, metallic hues and oriental motifs: Here are the trends we loved from AIFW day 3

1. Sheer Kurta's 

Comes summer and all we want to do is to summon in our lightest and the loosest piece of clothing. These lightweight sheer kurtas, worn over slip dresses with frilled hems is the perfect way to espouse the summer. These styles were seen on Prama by Pratima Pandey's runway. 

2. Oriental Floral Motif's 

The flowers are blooming this summer as big oriental motifs were spotted on the runway. Big and bold prints are always a statement look, but when worn in form of big flower motifs, it makes it classic and wearable. 

The motifs are reminiscent of a surrealistic tropical garden in its fullest and lushest glory. 

3. Geometric Designs

Designs inspired by geometry, big and bold shapes filled with intricate designs is what stole our attention!

4. Minimalistic Sequin

While the colour dust and rose gold ruled the runway, it was also embellished with tiny and intricate sequins and embroidery. The embellishments include pearls, Swarovski stones, and love bird beads. 

5. Pyjamas during the day 

Every fashion icon has always said, comfort is key. Say hello to Pyjamas inspired dressing. Sporty on-the-go slip dresses, kaftan, long tees, loose shirts, pyjama sets, and kimonos were spotted on the runway.

6. Metallic Hues: 

Using liquid silver, frosty and pastel hues like lilac, ice blue, deep rose the designers have amalgamated it with intricate applique work on sheer fabrics, giving it a metallic sheen to it. The glossy tactile fabric used, stages futuristic chic! 

7. Embroidery 

Embroidery is a classic trend and this summer it has hit the runways! So bring all your beautiful embroidered outfits out and flaunt them!

8. Key colours spotted : 

Key colours spotted on day 3 of AIFW were, white, nude, tan, rose gold, sun yellow, coral, brandy, blush pink, gold, lagoon blue, ash purple, eggshell, and petrol.
