Fashion Faceoff: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone go OTT in Giambattistavalli

Fashion faceoffs have been a regular occurrence than ever. And for trends that have received approval from a global audience, the resemblance becomes uncanny. From sarees to pantsuits celebrities are no longer sticking to their signature style but experimenting with newer trends and fashion fads.

This time around we have two of the biggest Bollywood beauties who have been seen wearing strikingly similar outfits by the Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli.

Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone walked the Cannes red carpet in a neon green gown by the designer. The bright gown featured ruffled tulle sleeves and skirt making the actress look like a quirky doll. She accessorised her look with a little satin bow on her neck and a matching headband around her forehead.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

The Begum of Bollywood wore the larger than life tulle gown for the cover shoot of a magazine. She opted for a muted pink colour for the same. Instead of a full-sleeved gown, Bebo went strapless and opted for a tube number. She pulled her tousled hair back and kept her makeup to a minimum. What we loved about the look was that she switched things up and opted for blush booties instead of regular strappy heels.

Deepika’s look felt OTT cause of the bright coloured gown and headband on top. On the other hand, Kareena’s ensemble felt fresh, young and trendy in spite of the larger than life train.
