Yay or Nay: Meghan Markle or Selena Gomez; who wore Oscar de la Renta better?

While Fashion Faceoffs back home are pretty common, this time around we’ve got a huge touch of royalty to it. Yes, the new entrant into the British Royal family, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has already established herself as a fashion diva. The former Suits actress has been creating statements with every appearance of hers. Be it her fancy fascinators, distressed denim jeans, or her super desirable Stella McCartney wedding reception outfit; Markle has been winning hearts all over the globe.
As we trace back our memory, there was one particular outfit of Meghan’s that all of us went gaga over and it was her Oscar de la Renta outfit which she wore to Princess Diana’s niece, Celia McCorquodale’s wedding. The dress featured a cornflower blue floral toile print with full sleeves and an asymmetrical hemline. The Meghan effect for obvious reasons took over and the dress was sold out within hours.
Next to channel the new Duchess’s style was none other than singer/actress, Selena Gomez.Selena sure did seem impressed with Meghan’s royal attire and wore a similar outfit which too was by Oscar de la Renta. She wore a co-ord set featuring the same print and in the same hue. Gomez styled her ensemble with silver strappy embellished heels, a silver crystal encrusted clutch, pink lips and a fresh face of makeup.
While both of them do carry out their looks extremely well and also seem comfortable in their skin, we like Meghan’s look a bit more. The newly married, kept it chic and easy and kept the entire look mess free! We especially love how she ditched the jewellery and kept it minimal. The beauty also recycled her wedding reception footwear making the look a tad bit more special.
