Janhvi Kapoor walked down the red carpet at Filmfare Awards. She wore a gown by Maison Yeya.
The biggest awards night for Bollywood is tonight and Janhvi Kapoor was also in attendance at the 2019 Filmfare Awards, which were held in Mumbai tonight at the Yashraj Studios. The actress was up to win the Best Actress - Debutante award for her debut film 'Dhadak' which was released in 2018. She starred opposite Ishaan Khattar in the movie, who is also up to win the Best Actor - Debut award. The film was an official remake of the Marathi film 'Sairat', which was a huge critical and commercial success.
For her first Filmfare Awards, Janhvi chose a perfect dress that had the perfect marriage of something sophisticated and fresh at the same time. She glided on the red carpet wearing a champagne hued gown from Maison Yeya. The organza strapless gown had drape detail on the bust, which added drama to the look. The thigh high slit showed enough to keep the look young and fresh, while keeping it chic. Her look was styled with a fresh face of make up and hair worn in soft curls, giving us old Hollywood glamour. Her final touches to the look came via her matching nude three strap sandals.
Draped gowns are stunning as there is so much to appreciate in just the construction of the garment, however more often than not they do end up looking strange on the red carpet. But this is a gorgeous gown and she worked it really well. The only issue I take is that her shoes looked a size too big on her.
