Swara Bhaskar is a conversation starter, down from politics to fashion, she has an opinion on everything and a voice that reaches out to many people! We have loved her ever since her Tanu weds Mannu role as Payal (Kangana’s best friend) down right to her Veere Di Wedding role as Sakshi Soni . She is bold and she is stylish! So Pinkvilla got to talking with the boss lady and revealed some of her closet secrets!

Swara doesn’t part with things given by her parents! She claims to be a hoarder of all things heirloom. Her most vintage possessions are sarees! She claims to be unable to give up a saree her father bought from Dhaka when she was a mere 15 years old: a saree that is a stiff muslin that she hasn’t even worn once. On the other hand, she also worked with friend and stylist Rupa Chaurasia on a Pink Chiffon Saree that belonged to her grandmother, Rupa and Swara decided on embroideries and revamping it into an outfit Swara could wear for her brother’s wedding. Such #reuseclothes goals! She also mentioned a cute thing her family did after the demise of Swara’s beloved Nani :

“Of course, there’s my Nani who recently passed away so we- all her children and grandchildren, we took all her sarees and we recreated them and made clothes for all of us. So that something of hers remains with all of us, so I have that also.”

Swara loves to be comfortable! She’ll choose flats over heels any day of the week. She says there’s only one rule for footwear: IT HAS TO BE COMFORTABLE! Swara clearly is a comfy-chic fashionista, from checks to lace and skirts to pants she’ll always opt for comfortable things!
