Every time we see that super sculpt body of JLo’s, our jaws literally hit the floor. The woman is turning 50 years old this year and we can't be any more envious of her ripped bod! Now, if you think that Lopez’s genetics are to be thanked, then you’re mistaken, my friend. Unsurprisingly, a whole lot of work went into the body JLo has today including a clean diet and a strict workout regimen. Read on to find out more about the exact diet plan and fitness regime JLo swears by till date.

Diet - Water

Just like our very own Deepika Padukone, JLo swears by the rule of keeping herself 100% hydrated. "Drinking plenty of water, especially before a workout, can help you push harder and get more out of your exercise routine", she told Hello! She always consumes an adequate amount of water before and after her workout routine.

Mixing up the workouts

We wonder how JLo is dedicated towards her exercise and workout regimes! "When I'm in New York, I work out with David Kirsch—he's an amazing trainer", she told HollywoodLife. She further added, “When I'm in Los Angeles, I work with Tracy Anderson. I like the balance that they both give me. They have two totally different approaches. I like switching it up with my body”.

Eat clean

The beauty queen has a very strict balanced diet packed with rich nutrients. She has completely cut out all kinds of processed and refined foods from her diet plan.

JLo’s trainer Tracy Anderson told People, "I have her eating very clean because she needs really good fuel for all the things that she's doing". She further added, "It's all organic and it's all very well thought out, with the balance of very high-quality proteins and a lot of nutrient-dense food, everything is fresh.”

For lunch, JLo’s plate is filled with tons of veggies and her mid-day menu typically consists of either salmon paired with broccoli, zucchini and capsicum salad dressed in vinaigrette. When it comes to dinner plans, JLo mostly settles with protein paired with quinoa. "It feels like rice and beans, which I grew up with. And I like pork and chicken — especially Puerto Rican style!" she said to Hollywood Life. While her diet may sound a little restrictive, JLo has never starved herself to stay slim. Instead, she eats food that will properly fuel her for the day.

Smart snacking

Did you know that Jennifer’s snack stash is filled with fruits and veggies? Well, for most snacks consist of a packet of chips or a few squares of chocolate, JLo doesn't let herself get tempted by junk foods.

No alcohol and caffeine

JLo is extremely careful about what she is puts her body through. Thus, she steers clear of caffeine and has stopped drinking alcohol altogether. According to an interview given to HollywoodLife, she said that it’s been a very long time since she has had caffeine.

Never skipping her workout

Workout regimes can seem a bit like a chore to most of us at times but JLo is far from us on that one. "I am 100 per cent convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy," she told Hello! magazine.

She says that dance has always been a big part of her life and taking some time off to move her body gives her immense pleasure and happiness. She strongly believes that taking care of oneself equals leading a healthy life. Moreover, Lopez never misses her sweat session and she finds that the best way to work exercise into her day is doing it in the morning. "I don't like doing it later; it's harder to get there when I have my day going already," she told HollywoodLife.
