The recent weddings have proved that THIS piece is the next big wedding accessory

Weddings are all about looking your best. From picking out the best designer wear, to spending hours in hair and makeup and having loads of fun, weddings are something everybody looks forward to. In the middle of all of this, the one thing that should not be missed out on, is accessorising. From the maang tikka and bangles to heavy earrings and expensive neck pieces, it is all expected to be in place this season. But now, with everything old-school making a comeback, so is one of the most epic wedding jewellery trend - the choker. 

Layers or pearls and diamonds are taking a setback. The grunge-like choker is making a big comeback and giving those long strings of stones and other precious stones a run for their money. For inspiration for this trend, we look at nobody other than our most fashionable Bollywood celebrities who pull off the look with utmost elegance and grace. 

Deepika's emerald choker for her wedding reception held in Bengaluru is the first thing that comes to mind when we think of this trend. 

She seems to be a fan of the trend and we think it is because it enunciates her long almost swan-like neck in the most perfect way, while making her look regal and elegant. 

Anushka Sharma looks like royalty in this emerald green choker which perfectly compliments her embellished saree. This look gives us all kinds of goals!

Bhumi Pednekar is also on board with the trend and has sported it a couple of times in the same colour option as Anushka and Deepika. She carries off the look with equal panache and grace. 

Kangana Ranaut looks like a queen as she opts for gold chokers to go with her traditional outfits. 

We are not surprised to see that even Priyanka Chopra is on board with the trend. A fashionista in the true sense she sported a diamond choker with her Dior dress for her wedding at Jodhpur. 

Along with her gorgeous red saree, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also wore a gold choker to match the gold work on her traditional outfit. Safe to say, she looked no less than a million bucks with her gorgeous smile backing her. 

Kajol too joined the bandwagon and looked as elegant as ever in this beautiful choker that she styled with her saree. 

To conclude, even Sophie Turner got on board with the trend by sporting an emerald choker at her sister-in-law, Priyanka Chopra's reception in Delhi. She looked gorgeous in a lehenga, bangles and maang tika.
