Forget the rest of your outfit and focus on your sleeves this season, for they are the new trend! Everything fro ruffled sleeves to buff, balloon and flounce sleeves have made a comeback and make for some ultra chic and feminine looks. But one trend that is fast gaining popularity, is the pointed sleeve.

Everybody from Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor to Carice Van Houten of Game of Thrones, was seen sporting this trend.

What’s so different about this sleeve you ask? Well, think shoulder pads but in an exaggerated way. These sleeves are pointed at the shoulder to make them seem broader and more well defined.

When Sonam Kapoor sports a trend, you know it's going to be the next big thing. The fashionista of Bollywood donned a black gown with a plunging neckline and a belt that accentuated her figure. The pointed sleeves added some structure to the classy outfit.

Anushka Sharma

The actress is known for sporting comfortable and easy-going looks but doesn’t hesitate to experiment when need be. For the GQ Style awards, the Zero actress donned a yellow and black pantsuit with pointed statement sleeves that exuded boss lady vibes and gave some much-needed structure to the otherwise straight outfit.

Ranveer Singh

If you thought this trend was only meant for ladies, think again! Singh as everybody knows, is open to experimentation and sported a zipper jacket with statement sleeves that accentuated his already broad shoulders and made him look more buff. We love the exquisite detailing on his jacket that added a sense of glamour to the outfit.

Diana Penty

If you thought Sonam or Anushka’s sleeves were large, take a look at Penty’s! Though we are loving the concept sleeve trend, we think she took it too far so much so that they look a little bit like shark fins! A little more down-to-earth design would have looked perfect on this asymmetrical sparkly black gown.

Carice Van Houten

Bollywood celebrities aren’t the only ones sporting this trend! Game of Thrones star Carice Van Houten also sported an elegant white gown with concept pointed sleeves at the New York Premiere of the final season of her show! She looked like the etpitome of sophistication and elegance in the gown which had gold detailing.
