Proenza Schouler launches graphic t-shirt in support of gun violence prevention
Proenza Schouler’s creative duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have decided to work towards a mission of fighting gun control through fashion.
Gun violence has become a major concern in America with student and the media standing against this brutal happening. Major fashion houses like Gucci have pledged to donate half a million dollars for gun control. Now, Proenza Schouler’s creative duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have decided to work towards a mission of fighting gun control through fashion.
The American brand has announced the launch of two politically charged graphic t-shirts to their already existing Women’s line. It is their effort to raise awareness amongst the common public and gain support for un violence prevention. The graphic tees are available in two versions, one is a white full sleeves t-shirt and a black half sleeves t-shirt but feature an image of a gun with a cross on it.

The brand has pledged to give more to the gun control cause than just those wearable garments. Proenza Schouler will be donating 100% of the Everytown t-shirt proceedings to Everytown. The brand believes that they hold an influential position and that they feel a sense of responsibility to use the platform and create awareness for the prevention of gun-related crimes in America.
The label released a statement which said,"As an American company, we believe that every person, young and old, has the right to feel safe at all times. There have been too many lives lost and voices silenced due to gun violence in the U.S. We have chosen to speak up and have been inspired by Everytown's mission to mobilize for policy change across communities. It is with this intent that we use our platform to support the intersectional principles that we believe in."
The t-shirts are available online for $90 and all the proceedings will directly go to Everytown.
