MET Gala is here!! The most glamourous and fashion loaded night of the here is almost here and fans are losing their minds. MET Gala has over the years has extremely intriguing, interesting and mind-blogging themes. This year by far has to the most controversial one. The 2018 theme will focus on "fashion and religion" (two of the most sensitive themes put together). The theme was: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and Catholic Imagination. It has been said that the topic was chosen since many major designers such as John Galliano and Riccardo Tisci have been referencing religion in their collections. The glamorous fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute is held annually on the first Monday of May. The invitation-only event raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.
Well our wait is finally over and here we have the best and worst dressed of MET Gala 2018
Priyanka Chopra

Desi girl Priyanka Chopra's marked her presence at her second outing at this prestigious event and she chose to go for a Ralph Lauren design this year as well. She stood out on the red carpet in a custom made look which hugged her in all the right places. The burgundy velvet form fitting gown with a train detail got his glam factor from the embellished neck and the headgear, which made the look risque and Met Gala worthy. Wearing her hair in finger waves, she rounded her look out a berry lip. Met Gala is all about taking risks and we love that Priyanka Chopra is fearless yet fun with her style. Sure it took us some time to warm up to this look, but it's a great look for sure.
Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone was also in attendance at the Met Gala this year, where the theme for the night was 'Heavenly Bodies : Fashion and the Catholic Imagination'. The gorgeous actress was one of the many celebrities who were dressed by designer Prabal Gurung. She wore a red custom made gown, which featured a thigh high slit, a floor sweeping train and an architectural drape detail on the top. She styled her look with a red lip, matching sandals and dangling diamond earrings. Met Gala is all about taking risks and having fun with the theme, but this is second year in a row that Deepika seemed to have missed the memo. While mostly everyone just went out there with their looks, Deepika played too safe. Wish she had saved this look for Cannes and given us something more Met Gala worthy. It is high time that Deepika get over wit her sleek hair hairdo and red lips and also starts experimenting. We are left disappointed.
Rihanna

BadGirlRiRi won our hearts over as she took her look inspiration directly from the Pope and stayed perfectly true to this year’s theme. The Love the way you lie singer donned a short heavily embellished silver tube dress. She threw in an oversized jacket with pearl and silver embellishments on it. She wore a matching
Kim Kardashian West in Versace

Kim Kardashian West marked her presence at the ball as well without her husband Kanye West. Kim donned a body hugging Versace golden ensemble with a deep neck. West, looked like an actual Egyptian queen and we absolutely love her hair and makeup.
Madonna

Global icon Madonna, was dressed perfectly in sync with the theme. She showed up in an elaborate crucifix adorned golden crown with a dark gothic lace dress and her face was covered in a black heavy netted veil. Dangler black earrings with layered chains, thick winged eyeliner finished off her look.
Katy Perry

Katy Perry took drama to another level as the diva donned a golden metallic short dress with full sleeves and matching golden thigh high boots. The highlight of her look were her angelic exaggerated feathered wings which took quite some room on the red carpet.
Blake Lively

This woman won our hearts straight up. Blake Lively synced up with the theme as well as kept the fashion quotient high making her one of our personal favourites. She looked like a complete medieval queen in a breathtakingly beautiful ball gown featuring a voluminous burgundy embroidered skirt. Her minimal golden crown, multiple golden chunky bracelets, that perfect hairdo rounded off her look.
Amal Clooney

The gorgeous Amal Clooney who this year’s co-host along with Donatella Versace and Rihanna showed up at the event in a Richard Quinn creation. She donned a strapless silver corset top attached with deep blue tapered pants. The pants had a long attached floral train which added to the overall glam of the look. Hair tied in a messy bun with silver danglers deep reds and a perfect winged liner finished off her look.
Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid left us disappointed with her look although it was on point with the theme. She donned a black latex tube with an attached bodycon skirt with a sweeping sheer train. Tightly braided hair with silver hair accessories silver eyes and muted makeup finished off her look.
Miley Cyrus

The beautiful Miley Cyrus donned a daring black Stella McCartney outfit which featured a plunging back and neckline. The outfit had a short train and looked well on her. However, we expected Miley to opt for something more daring and on point with the theme.
Irina Shayk

Irina Shayk looked beautiful in an all golden feathered outfit by Versace. The dress features a deep plunging neckline, thigh high slit and a floor sweeping trail.
Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner disappointed us with her all black look. She donned a black strapless dress with a waist cutout and a long train. Matrix sunglasses, hair pulled back and tied and brown undertone makeup finished off her look.
Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez hit the MET Gala red carpet wearing a custom Coach tiered ruffled dress. However it was her makeup and hair that instantly became a talking point. Her tan makeup, silver eyes and cropped haircut mad the look a statement.
Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in a heavily embellished Balmain dress with a feathered train along with a cutout crucifix adorning the chest. Side parted sleek hai with diamond studs finished off her look.
Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke wore a strapless black and golden gown which went well with the theme. The actress’s makeup was a major highlight with those evident red cheeks. A Greek style crown punctuated her look.
Ariana Grande in Vera Wang

Ariana Grande wore a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline which had an elaborate train. Hair tied in an up hairdo with a perfectly winged eyeliner and liht bronze undertone makeup finished off her look.
Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner seems like she wasn’t in the mood to follow the theme and opted for an off-shoulder top with matching well fitted pants. Center parted sleek hair with silver drop earrings made her look pretty although this look was extremely safe.
Gigi Hadid

Gigi gave us a bit of Black Swan vibes as she looked pretty in a sleek golden and navy gown. Slightly bouffant center parted hair with minimal makeup and minimal shimmer eyes finished off her look.
Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey stayed true to the theme as she donned a floor length full sleeves outfit which had floral and leaf embroidery on the bottom of the outfit. The highlight of her look were the dramatic details. Her look featured long hair extensions with an elaborate headdress and several fake knives poking into her chest. Interesting we must agree.
Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker turned up at the event looking like an actual religious goddess and her look left us quite disappointed. Her outfit looked more like an elaborate costume. It featured a straight golden outfit with motifs in gold and red with a long train. The look together made for a very poor combination.
