June along with the rains also welcomes the Pride Month. For the uninitiated, pride month is observed for the LGBTQ community. Recently in an extremely sad turn of events, the US government pulled back the protections which banned the discrimination against transgender medical patterns. The protections were implemented by the Obama government and this has put the trans community at a major risk. Well now Sephora is putting forth their support with their latest campaign and collection for the transgenders.

This step has worked wonders for the brand and is also seen as a huge leap for a lot of other brands to follow. Makeup is a huge part of every transgender’s day to day life and to see a leading cosmetic brand fuel the cause is an encouragement that the World needs. The campaign is directed by Matt Lambert who has worked majorly for the LGBTQ community.

It was first back in 2016, wherein the Paris based multinational chain began providing online tutorials and in-house makeup classes for the trans people or the ones who are undergoing the transformation.

Sephora shared a note on their website and their social media accounts with a powerful message. The post read, “Sephora believes in championing all beauty, living with courage, and standing fearlessly together to celebrate our differences.” The post further read, “We will never stop building a community where diversity is expected, self-expression is honored, all are welcomed, and you are included. They finally ended the post with saying, “We belong to something beautiful.”

We all should definitely applaud Sephora’s brilliant campaign and hope that more brands learn from them. Also, here’s hoping that the trans community feels safe and respected wherever they live.
