With the World becoming a huge melting pot with every passing day, traditions and cultures are all uniting. We have our most favourite celebrities wear some of the fanciest International couture outfits and we are all in awe.

However, back home we have seen a major revival in our traditional handlooms and crafts and our Bollywood divas have been sporting some of the most gorgeous ethnic and desi looks this year. Given that India has a wide range of festivities and they are spread across through the year, our stars get the chance to flaunt their traditional side and show us some of the trendiest styles. Its contemporary, fancy, elegant and yet extremely rooted, so here's a chance to crown your Best Indian look of the year, 2017. Here are our nominations:

1. Kareena Kapoor Khan in Tarun Tahiliani

Kareena Kapoor Khan looked like legit royalty as she celebrated Diwali with her husband, Saif and her friends at Anil Kapoor's Diwali bash. She looked captivating in a beige embroidered and tasselled hem kurta and sharara pants combo by Tarun Tahiliani couture. The look was styled with a perfectly draped dupatta. Breaking the monotony of the colour, she wore antique traditional jewellery by Shri Hari Dia Gems. A nude lip and hair tied in a simple bun rounded her look out.

2. Anushka Sharma in Sabyasachi

And the moment that we’ve been waiting for the longest time has arrived. The captain of the Indian Cricket Team has sealed the deal FOREVER with his love Anushka Sharma. Anushka was a typical Sabyasachi bride as she donned a beautiful pastel pink floral lehenga with sequins work on it. She styled her look with a kundan matha-pathi, a heavy choker, a long three-tier neckpiece with the trademark Sabyasachi nath. Dressed as a typical Punjabi bride, she also wore a traditional chooda (red and white bangles) and kalire (Danglers tied to the bangles). Minimal makeup with a black bindi and that stark red sindoor rounded her look out

3. Sagarika Ghatge in Falguni and Shane Peacock

This look of Sagarika Ghatge from her wedding celebrations was a gorgeous grey and silver lehenga by Falguni and Shane Peacock. Love the fact that she teamed it with ruby red and diamond jewellery, which provided a cool contrast to the dull grey.

4. Deepika Padukone in Sabyasachi

The 'Padmavati' actress looked breathtaking in a custom-made Sabyasachi outfit. Her look was a modern take on saree, which included an embellished high waisted mermaid skirt, a plunging neckline blouse and a black fabric draped across her body to mimic a pallu. The look was styled with a skinny belt, Sabyasachi earrings, smokey eyes and hair worn in a ponytail. Usually, for events like these, actresses tend to go super sexy and modern, so I love that she did the same, but via a saree look.

5.  Sonakshi Sinha in Arpita Mehta

Sonakshi Sinha taped for an episode of her new reality show in Mumbai earlier today. She's sticking to Indian looks for the show thus far and served us yet another stunning look. Wearing a lace-up neck embroidered top, a floral printed lehenga and a matching cape dupatta by Arpita Mehta, she rounded her look out with tassel earrings and a cocktail ring. A pale pink lip and centre-parted low ponytail rounded her look out to perfection.

6. Sonam Kapoor in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Sonam Kapoor turned the festive glam on in a white and silver Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla saree. The embroidered saree was teamed with a sequined and pearl embellished high neck blouse with bare shoulder detail. The look was styled with dainty earrings and a maang tika. Muted makeup and hair tied up in a bun rounded her look out.

7. Sara Ali Khan in Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla

Sara Ali Khan was in attendance at the bridal couture show hosted by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, in the capital earlier tonight. She wore a pink embroidered lehenga that she paired with a sheer sequined blouse. Simple hair and a glossy lip rounded her look out.

8.  Jacqueline Fernandez in Faraz Manan

Jacqueline Fernandez looked red hot as she dressed up to attend her BFF Sonam Kapoor's Diwali bash last night. Wearing a lace embellished saree by Dubai based designer Faraz Manan, her saree was paired with a matching embroidered halter neck blouse. Keeping the styling minimal and let the red be the focal point, she rounded her look out dainty earrings, a glossy lip and side-swept voluminous curls.
