Oscars 2018: Margot Robbie avoided a malfunction by sewing her own Chanel Oscar outfit
Oscars 2018 took place on March 4th in Los Angeles.
Margot Robbie has been quite the darling at almost all the prestigious award shows this season. The talented actress was one of the contenders to bag the Best Actress award for her performance in I, Tonya; at the recently held Academy Awards. Margot walked the red carpet in a custom made Chanel couture gown. The ensemble featured a muted sequins detail running through her neckline. She opted for a no jewellery look and carried a crystal clutch with silver chain. Bronze undertone makeup with glossy lips finished off her look.
All seemed rosy on the red carpet but the real problem cropped up inside the theatre where Ms. Robbie was seen having a malfunction. It so happened that one of her beaded off shoulder straps snapped off and with the help of her team; she got her hands on a sewing kit and stitched the strap herself before the malfunction could have been caught on camera.

Well, it also turns out that the Australian actress wasn't the only one who faced a wardrobe malfunction. Fellow nominee Sally Hawkins ran into Margot while she was doing up her broken strap and complained that she herself was having troubles with her own outfit. “I’m losing shells,” Hawkins said while pointing to the sequins on her sparkly pleated gown.
Last year Nicole Kidman suffered a wardrobe malfunction when her criss-cross back detailing gown broke during the show which she fixed by turning her gown into a halter neckline.
Well, malfunctions are pretty common but we loved how Margot Robbie handled it like a boss. What do you guys think? Comment and let us know.
