Oscars 2018: Gal Gadot, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone; best and worst dressed celebrities at the awards show

The much awaited Oscars 2018 took place today in Los Angeles and fans cannot stop gushing. The Academy Awards is the oldest worldwide entertainment awards ceremony and is held to honour the cinematic achievements of the Hollywood fraternity in the year gone by. The red carpet had some of the most breathtaking and dazzling looks and we bring to you a list of the best and worst dressed celebrities.

Zendaya

Popular American actress and singer Zendaya donned a draped one-sleeved dress with an all over gathering by Giambattista Valli. A sleek top knot with heavy eye makeup and bronze undertone makeup finished off breath-taking look.

Taraji Henson

We absolutely love this look of Taraji Henson. She walked down the red carpet wearing a custom made black tulle gown with a nude satin lining by Vera Wang. Just when we thought that the thigh-high slit had become too repetitive, she served us a sexier version of it. Filled in eyebrows, oxblood lips and black strappy heels finished off her stunning look.

Margot Robbie

The gorgeous Margot Robbie looked stunning in a all white custom Chanel couture gown with a muted sequins detail running through her neckline. She opted for a no jewellery look and carried a crystal clutch with silver chain. Bronze undertone makeup with glossy lips finished off her look.

Salma Hayek

We have absolutely no idea why the beauty would opt for something like this. Salma opted for a lavender sequined tiered gown by Gucci. The bejewelled jewellery gave a body chain like effect just pulled the look down. However, it was her layering of makeup and her unflattering hairstyle which made matters worse for her.

Allison Williams

Allison Williams graced the red carpet wearing a nude, bedazzled bodice and a flowy tulle skirt gown by Armani. The actress kept her makeup to a minimal with nude lips. Side parted hair in old Hollywood style with diamond studded dangler earrings finished off her look.  

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman slayed the red carpet in a strapless electric blue Armani gown which had a huge bow and centre slit in the front. Fresh face of makeup with centre parted sleek hair, red lips and diamond jewellery finished off this dazzling look.

Gal Gadot

We are totally crushing over Gal’s Gadot’s metallic Givenchy fringe detail outfit. The sparkly number had a plunging V-neckline and a single crystal jewellery neck piece to compliment it. Sleek hairdo with winged eyeliner and deep red lips finished off her look.

Emma Stone

We wonder why would Emma do this to herself? The La La Land actress went down the boss-lady like look and opted for a pantsuit by Louis Vuitton. The ill-fitted outfit comprised of a marsala blazer which was knotted around the waist with a hot pink satin bow and was teamed up with tapered black pants. Her hair and makeup were also too ordinary and the whole look together just didnt work for us.

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner looked extremely fresh in her electric blue one shouldered outfit by Versace. The dress fitted and complimented her body perfectly. Beach wavy open hair with kohled eyes, glossy lips and pink undertone makeup finished off her beautiful look.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence’s look was more or less similar to that of Gal Gadot. The actress opted for a gold metallic Dior dress which had a fitted corset bustier and flared towards the length of the dress. Jennifer opted for heavy beach wavy hair, smokey eyes and rust orange lips.

Andra Day

Andra Day made a lot of head turns with her poses on the red carpet. The singer powder blue pink floral outfit by Zac Posen. The ruffled strapless tiered gown had exaggerated balloon sleeves with an awkward centre slit. Red velvet peeptoes, pulled back hair with heavy brown undertone makeup finished off her weird look.

Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt looked breathtaking in a Schiaparelli Haute Couture. The ice blue tulle outfit had white floral applique running around the neckline and waist. Hair pulled back in a sleek bun with minimal makeup, dangler earrings and white clutch rounded off her fresh look.

Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse Ronan picked a subtle pastel pink strapless Calvin Klein outfit. The dress had a huge bow at the back and a short train as well. Pastel pink pointy stilettos with a no makeup makeup look finished off this minimal yet impactful look.

Lupita Nyong’o

The stunning Black Panther actress donned a one shouldered black and gold sequins Versace dress with a thigh high slit. The highlight of her look however was her hair which was styled in a traditional Rwandan style. Winged eyes with blue eye makeup and glossy lips finished off her perfect look.

Meryl Streep

Hollywood’s legendary actress Meryl Streep kept it classic as she donned a red Dior gown which has a plunging V-neckline detail and 3/4th sleeves. Minimal makeup, gold danglers and a gold clutch finished off her look.

Greta Grewig

Greta Grewig looked bright in a sunshine yellow floral Rodarte number. The dress fitted her body really well and she kept her look minimal with a string of diamond jewellery, dewy makeup and red lips.

Gina Rodriguez

Gina Rodriguez walked the red carpet in a Zuhair Murad gown. The jewelled detail ensemble featured a plunging V-neckline and a thin silver belt around her waist which perfectly accentuated her figure. We love!

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock looked lovely in a halter neck black and golden sequins Louis Vuitton dress. The actress wore her hair down in a sleek style with filled in eyebrows, smokey eyes and pink undertone makeup.

Viola Davis

Viola Davis rocked the red carpet in a striking pink sequins Michael Kors gown. Her outfit was a fresh sight amidst all the pastels, whites and nudes. Hair tied back in a ponytail with silver hoops and a matching pink clutch finished off her look.
