The United States of America is reeling with a major issue and an “epidemic” so to say as gun violence has become a major concern and issue in the country. Celebrities and the common man got together on March 24th for the “March of our Lives” march. This created a major uproar and impact on the Americans and people across globally, you came forward to lend in their support in person or through social media. Later that night was the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards which echoed the same message loud and clear and Millie Bobby Brown was “literally” wearing the message to the Award show.

The Stranger Things actress graced the wards show donning a Calvin Klein denim buttoned down which had the names of the 17 victims of the Parkland, Florida shooting embroidered on the back of the garment. Not just that, the shoulder blades of her jacket read, “March of our lives”. Millie also made it a point to raise awareness after she won the award for Favourite TV actress for Stranger Things saying, "As we saw a moment ago, the March for Our Lives demonstrations that took place all over the world today have inspired me and impacted us all in one way or another, but more than anything, I get to be up here, and I'm privileged to have a voice that can be heard, one that I can use to hopefully make a positive difference and help influence change." Brown also dedicated her award to the victims adding at the end of the speech, she said, “For the angels among us, your spirit lives on. This is for you."

The young actress also took to Instagram and shared a photo of the march’s logo. She captioned it, “No child, teen, parent or teacher should be afraid to walk into their school or classroom. This is our chance to be HEARD! This is our chance to MAKE A DIFFERENCE. This world needs to be filled with love, kindness and support of one another. No more fear, no more hurt, no more shootings, no more GUNS."

Celebrities like Miley Cyrus and fashion brands like Gucci and Proenza Schouler are also actively promoting the gun violence prohibition message.
