And its here! The 2019 Met Gala! This year's Met Gala was held in NYC last night and the most esteemed guests from the worlds of fashion, art, music and movie were in attendance. This was Priyanka Chopra's third year in attendance. The Bollywood actress has won many hearts and fashion critics' votes with her on point looks from the past two years. So the pressure was on. Did she deliver? Or did she fall short of our expectations? Lets find out.
This year's Met Gala theme was 'Camp : Notes on Fashion', which was all about self expression, and adding humour and theatricality to the looks. Priyanka Chopra hit the right notes in a Dior gown. Her gown was one of the couture pieces from their Spring 2018 collection. The simple nude gown was revamped with feathers of multiple hues and adding a matching cape to the look. PC went the 'Mad Hatter' way and styled her look with a crown, a curly hair do, rhinestone embellished tights and tear drop earrings. The final touches to her look came via a maroon lip, a bindi and her silver pumps.
Met Gala is all about having fun and going out all the way, so I do like this look on her. She committed to the look and worked it well. However, this look could use a little editing, maybe just getting rid of the earrings, etc.
This event is particularly very important for PC as three years ago, she met her now husband Nick Jonas here as they walked the red carpet together. The couple got married in a lavish wedding last year in December.
