Katrina Kaif turns showstopper wearing Manish Malhotra; Yay or Nay?

Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive’19 has kick-started amidst major fanfare. The reputed fashion week is followed by major fashionistas and personalities from the fashion and glamour industry across the country. Last night we saw the who’s who attended the opening event which showcased one of Bollywood’s most loved designers, Manish Malhotra. Playing muse for this celebrated designer was our very own Chikni Chameli, Katrina Kaif. 

Katrina Kaif glided down the runway looking like an absolute diva. Donning a custom made Manish Malhotra creation, Kaif was a sight to behold. Her look included a black deep plunging V neckline blouse with a short cape like extension running on the back. She paired her blouse with a high waisted black velvet flared and elaborate lehenga with intricate floral work on it in golden. The Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani actress styled her look with heavy black smokey eyes, filled in brows, dewy makeup, glossy nude lips, side parted brushed open hair. Heavy dual layered kundan neck piece with kundan stud earrings and a statement ring completed her look out. 

The entire look is extremely elegant and poise and makes for an extremely glamorous statement. Although we absolutely loved the look, we wish that the outfit was in some colour and a little more 2019. The outfit’s silhouette and design looks extremely repetitive and something that we have seen in Manish’s design over the years. 

The fashion show was attended by many Bollywood stars, namely, Karisma Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Khushi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, to name a few.
