Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt: Monochrome is the new cool

Black is everyone’s favourite as it makes you look like a diva with elegance, whereas white becomes a epitome of grace and sophistication. Black and white outfits though easy to look at get a bit tricky while keeping it one colour. With solid colour clothing being on trend,our Bollywood celebrities have taken these two base colours and turned them into perfection. Here are a few divas that were seen following this trend-

Kareena Kapoor Khan is the definition of poise and finesse. Here she donned a black saree with a plain red and hot pink border. With a full sleeve blouse she slayed it in a Raw Mango saree. Pulled back sleek hair, minimal jewellery and a bindi rounded off her look. We love how she is taking the colour blocking trend to the next level.

Our dimple queen looks astounding in this Falguni and Shane Peacock custom made gown. We like how the outfit drapes her body which has puffy sleeves and a beautiful train. The metallic belt defined her curves well but what catches our eye is the plunging V- neck which she carried like a boss. Though we wish that she should have gone for a different hairdo.

For Filmfare Middle East Relaunch Deepika looked like a badass. She donned Amit Agarwal’s custom ankle length black gown which had a beautiful train too. The strapless gown had a beautiful top which she paired with a messy low ponytail, long earrings by Mahesh Notandass, retro style eye makeup and plain pointed black stilettos that rounder off her look.

​​Karishma Kapoor looked extremely sophisticated, delicate yet dynamic in this Sachin and Babi dress with minimal jewellery and Paul Andrew shoes. The transparent black full sleeves and white detailing at the bottom stole our attention.

Kangana Ranaut looked like a classic Sabyasachi work in a black saree with golden work. We love how the Queen actress paired this with a Sabyasachi tiger buckle belt and a contrast floral colourful blouse which had a high collar. She added to the fine look with polki earrings with a braided hairdo.

The sexy Anushka Sharma went all black in her recent movie Pari’s promotions. She looked bold in a Nikhil Thampi outfit which consisted of black shimmery flare pants with solid black top which had a long front and an inverted V-back cut-out. She wore her hair in a sleek ponytail and kept the jewellery minimal to finish off her look.

Alia Bhatt can pull anything off be it a strapless gown or an ethnic dress with ease and grace. She attended an event in a full sleeve black ethnic gown with minimal make up and jewellery by Amprapali jewels. The Anita Dongre outfit was surreal with detailed embroidery all over and this all black ensemble made her look class apart.

The Dear Zindagi actress dolled up in the Atelier Zuhra outfit for her BFF's wedding reception in Mumbai. Her white strapless beaded gown was styled with no jewellery, an embellished Alexander McQueen clutch and hair tied up in a knot with decorative flowers. She let the gown steal the show and her radiant skin looked flawless in this ensemble.

The Quantico star has been living the American Dream. She has been giving us fashion goals and we have been completely drooling over her style. She recently wore a white satin pant suit over a black lacy bralette looking like a boss lady. Her floor length pants and the fringe on the suit made her stand out. She accessorized the outfit with a three layered necklace and a dark purple lip. Her messy open hair and the black and brown striped fur coat rounded off her look.

Madhuri Dixit Nene looked stunning in a gorgeous Anita Dongre Saree at an event recently. The gorgeous off-white saree had fine delicate work which she paired with big chandbali earrings. The dhak-dhak looked sophisticated yet dazzled in the beautiful saree.

The Devdas actress looked like a diva in the black fit and flare gown. Rai paired the Gauri and Nainika outfit with red bold lips and loose curls. The gown hugged her body perfectly as she attended the Longines event at Sydney.

Nimrat Kaur looked absolutely hot in the Self Portrait dress as she stepped out for the Test Case promotions. The ankle length white dress had a polo neck and one shoulder which stole our eyes. She paired the outfit with clear heels, open hair and big golden and pink earrings which stood out. Her hourglass figure looked fabulous and we just love how she carried the dress.
