Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and more are ditching palazzo pants and wearing shararas instead
Shararas are the order of the season and these Bollywood divas prove just why!
Remember Kareena Kapoor Khan dancing to "Bole Chudiyaan" in her pretty pink sharara? Well, that is now back in fashion my friend, but with a twist. In 2017 sharara's are worn with longline kurtas or itsy bitsy cholis and blouses. Gone are the days when everyone wore palazzo pants or flared skirts under their kurtas, this wedding and festive season are all about shararas.
A lot of people confuse palazzo, sharara and ghaghra, so let me explain the difference to you- By definition, palazzo pants are long women's trousers cut with a loose, extremely wide leg that flares out from the waist. Sharara, on the other hand, are two-legged bottom wear similar to gharara but its loose on thighs and the flared ruche (chunnat) starts 5 inches below the knee. And ghaghras are proper flared skirts and not pants. Even a plain old kurta can be jazzed up with a pair of sharara pants.
