If Karan Johar hosted a MET Gala, THIS would be the theme with these THREE fashionistas in attendance
The fashion-conscious director would want to see Indian outfits on the red carpet. He also reveals the three stars he would definitely want in attendance!
We know how passionate Karan Johar is about fashion. He brought the biggest brands to India through his films, even before we knew they existed! He is the pioneer of numerous fashion trends in India. Case in point being the oversized jumper and ugly sneakers trend. The father of two recently came on Neha Dhupia's talk show, where he talked about - surprise, surprise - fashion! On No Filter with Neha, he talked about his children Yash and Roohi and the posh version of ABC's he would teach them. Instead of A for Apple and B for Bear, he is all set to teach them A for Armani, B for Balenciaga and so on!
Furthermore, Karan also talked about the biggest fashion event of the year - the MET Gala. He told Neha that if he had hosted the MET Gala, he would go completely Indian with it. "The idea is to platform out beautiful garments, our culture and our beautiful embroidery and fabric... that would be my theme - The Royal rich Indian." Amitabh Bachchan would be one star, Karan would love to see grace the red carpet, since the director thinks he can pull off any garment with panache, style and grace. Sonam Kapoor would be the another star he would love to see, since it is a fashion event and Sonam set the fashion ball rolling in the country.
His third choice, comes as no surprise. Ranveer Singh is known for his bold fashion choices, who is exactly what Karan wants to see, strut down this red carpet. According to Karan, who produced Ranveer's latest film - Simmba, the actor walks the fine line between androgynous and hyper-masculine and can carry off both the looks with the same amount of ease and panache.
