Hailey Bieber is bringing back THIS raunchy trend and people are loving it

Ever thought visible thongs would see the second light of day after going underwater after having its time in the late 80's and early 90's. High-strung thongs that are easily visible at the back in backless dresses and in cutout dresses in the front. Hailey Bieber seemed like the first to strike up the trend back in May, during the MET Gala. 

The supermodel who married Justin Bieber, opted for  bubblegum pink dress by Alexander Wang which was completely backless till her tailbone and even featured a candy pink thong with the word Wang embellished on the stitch of the slinky lingerie piece. The wild style even made a comeback in the 00's with a number of pop sensations like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears sporting it at multiple occasions. 

Clearly, the theory that fashion repeats itself every 20 years isn't false for this week, Bella Hadid strutted the Versace runway in a pair of low slung black pants and a black thong creeping up on her hip which featured the Versace gold medallions. 

Gillian Anderson also showed off the raunchy thong she wore beneath a black gown at the Oscar Vanity Fair party. 

Seems like the bold trend is making a comeback now that it is part of runway shows and has supermodels sporting it even off runways! If you need tips on how to style it, just remember the "less is more" rule and take cue from Hailey. Pair it with a plain outfit be it a trouser or a backless dress and ensure the thong matches the colour of the outfit for a more minimal and clean look.
