PV: Do you have any rituals before you walk the ramp?

VAANI KAPOOR: I don't have any preparations I do. I just make sure I don't miss my gym workout before I walk the ramp, so I hope I can look my fittest most and everything is fine.

PV: Who is your fashion Icon?

VAANI KAPOOR: I don't have a particular fashion icon but there are a lot of people who inspire me and I admire their fashion sense and their sensibilities. I love how Audrey Hepburn used to style herself then there's Victoria Beckham and Gigi Hadid whose style I really admire. There are so many women, my mother and so many others who are not famous and are regular people with a great sense of style and they inspire me in their own way.

PV: Your most precious fashion purchase?

VAANI KAPOOR: I recently bought a Tom Ford bag and it's expensive. I don't believe in buying expensive bags but that is something I picked up because I really liked it.

PV: Three Things in your closet you cannot live without?

VAANI KAPOOR: Loose pants like track pants and linen pants, sweatshirts and monochrome t-shirts.

PV: One thing you love and hate the most about dressing up?

VAANI KAPOOR: One thing I love about dressing up is that I can look presentable and one thing I hate is that it is too taxing and takes too much time and effort to dress. Especially when I have to colour my hair I have zero patience.

PV: One fashion trend you hope goes away and never comes back?

VAANI KAPOOR: I don't really follow fashion that closely, so probably there are things I did not like but have already passed and I have not even kept an account of it. I do not follow fashion that closely

PV: Ideal date night outfit? For the opposite sex?

VAANI KAPOOR: I want him to be effortlessly styled, I don't want him to look like he tried too hard. Somebody who has a natural sense of style.

PV: Who according to you is the biggest fashion critic in India?

VAANI KAPOOR: Nowadays social media has become the biggest fashion critic, everybody has a say and opinions and harsh opinions mostly. So I think it is social media, it is Twitter, Facebook and Instagram which is the biggest fashion critic.

PV: Do you shop during sales?

VAANI KAPOOR: Hell yeah! Of course, I do, the cheaper the better no?

PV: Go-to outfit?

VAANI KAPOOR: My denim with a tee and a denim jacket.

PV: One beauty secret you learnt after entering Bollywood?

VAANI KAPOOR: I have always applied less makeup and I am very happy, the less base and foundations you apply the better your skin looks and it glows better. Your skin has a natural glow and one should not kill it with excessive foundations and compact.

PV: The most useful advice someone has given you that you always follow?

VAANI KAPOOR: Just make sure clothes are intact, nothing is falling off, no straps are coming off. You know everything is in place! Before I leave I make sure I check everything.

PV: What's your take on airport looks?

VAANI KAPOOR: I do not take stress about airport looks, I dress up the way I dress up, normally. For me it is not a headache, I do not take extra efforts to dress up and try to make an impact at the airport. I am me at the airport.
