EXCLUSIVE: Celebrity stylist Mohit Rai thinks Priyanka Chopra will wear THIS designer for the MET GALA 2019

“Fashion’s biggest night” is just around the corner. Yes, we are talking about the much awaited MET Gala. It’s the acme of ultimate style featuring and welcoming celebrity stars, young talents, magnates and big wheels from the industry. This year however, is going to be extra special as our very own desi girl, Priyanka Chopra is on the benefit committee of this year’s MET Gala. Well, the stunner is not alone, giving her company is none other than her husband, Nick Jonas. Life surely has come a full circle for these two as we all know that their fairytale kicked off from this very place.

With this year’s theme being “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, we cannot wait to see how creative Chopra Jonas gets with her costume. Well, Pinkvilla got in touch with celebrity fashion stylist, Mohit Rai, whose clientele boasts of the likes of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Shilpa Shetty, to name a few.

The celebrated powerhouse of talent spoke in detail about his excitement to see what the 36 year old will be wearing. He also put forth his top picks of the potential designers she could most probably be wearing. Rai said, “Priyanka Chopra has been the muse to the best designers out there. She in fact is the perfect person to represent this year’s theme because she makes it a point to be extra! I would love to see her in Giambattista Valli or Jean Paul Gaultier or even an Iris Van Herpen, which would be a futuristic take on Camp. I cannot wait to see how she manages to blow our minds this year. She’s never disappointed and has always been on the Global Best Dressed list.”

Given the successful run that the Quantico star has had at the Ball, it wasn’t really surprising when she was brought on board to be in the committee. Mohit has a personal take on this too and according to him, she truly deserved it. He also further applauds the theme of this year which has further added layers of enthusiasm. “One of the best things about this year’s theme CAMP is that it’s high on drag and drama, which is something Priyanka Chopra has mastered over the years. The reason she’s in the Met Gala committee is surely because of her commitment to always being dressed appropriately, which is being extraordinary for this event, is seen by the world. She’s not only about wearing pretty gowns but being out there representing the theme set each year she’s attended,” he concluded.

We couldn’t have agreed more with him. Expect this stunner to always make heads turn with her style and confidence wherever she goes. Giambattista Valli is definitely a prospective pick.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Ball will take place on the 6th of May, starting at 7 pm in New York City. The big-wig's from the glamour industry is expected to be present at this fundraising event.
