Deepika's silk saree is nothing short of spectacular and you will love its intricate details as much as we do!
Deepika is a stunner at her wedding, in a silk saree with a zari bird motif
The DeepVeer wedding is clearly the wedding of the year. Earlier today, designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee clarified that Deepika Padukone's dress that she wore for her Konkani wedding at Lake Camo in Italy was not his creation. Instead, in a post on Instagram, he credited Angadi Galleria in Bengaluru from where Deepika's mother Ujjala Padukone had purchased the stunning piece.
The saree is an original creation from the label - Advaya by The House of Angadi. The Kanjeevaram brocade silk saree is accentuated with pure gold zari. The bird motif on the gorgeous piece is of the Gandaberunda, a two-headed mythological bird from Hindu mythology which is believed to possess immense magical strength. The mythological creature is the official emblem of the Karnataka state government since it is a symbol of strength.
The saree's striking thick zari border has a gauze-like texture which gives it a unique look. It also gives the elegant piece the definition and structure to keep it from being too light-weight and wispy. The opulent and elegant piece made the Piku actress look nothing short of stunning on her big day.
The blouse is also adorned similarly and is a perfect match for the saree, completing Deepika's look and making her look royal and rich. With such pieces, the jewellery makes or breaks a look, but Deepika's extravagant jewellery definitely completes her outfit, making her look like a real-life Mastani.
We are digging Deepika's saree and her look. What about you? Tell us in the comment section below.
