Deepika Padukone in Gaurav Gupta : Yay or Nay?

'Padmavat' actress Deepika Padukone was one of the many celebrities who were in attendance at the Zee Cine Awards, which award the best in the Bollywood business in the past year. The actress was up to win the Best Actress award for her flawless performance as Queen Padmavati, where she shared screen space with talented actors like Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Her performance was lauded by critics and audiences alike and she gave another box office hit with this film.
Red was definitely the colour of the night, as Deepika also graced the event wearing a red gown. Her look was strapless gown by Gaurav Gupta, which had architectural details on the bodice, a column skirt which had a floor sweeping train. The colour red is such a bold hue, that you need minimal accessories to make it work or else everything in the look would fight for attention. She styled her look with no jewellery and rounded her look out with a matching, bold red lip and hair worn half up and half down.
As pretty as she looks, I wasn't too excited with the gown in itself. However, she does make it work. The minimal styling worked and she carried it off with confidence and made it look super chic.
Deepika is currently shooting for her next film, which is being directed by Raazi director Meghna Gulzar. The film is based on the real life of an acid survivor and Deepika is super excited about it.
