Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Wedding: Complete breakdown of what they wore for the chooda ceremony
The bride and groom had worn Sabyasachi for their pre-wedding festivities.
The power couple of Bollywood just got married in an intimate ceremony at Villa del Balbianello overlooking the Lake Como in Italy. The wedding was a two-day affair, which kickstarted with the Konkani traditions that was in accordance with the bride's family. The pair also respected the groom’s family traditions and got married in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony.
The joyful union honoured all the traditional rituals and customs. A mandatory ritual before the wedding is the chooda ceremony, which is an important day for the bride where she puts on her wedding chooda (bangles) for the first time.
The bride and groom wore Sabyasachi for all of their pre-wedding ceremonies. Ranveer wore an emerald green kurta pyjama by the ace designer. Ranveer being quirky and eccentric snuck in a pair of white sneakers to complete his look.

The Padmaavat beauty chose to wear a custom made suit. Ditching the traditional churidar, she opted for dhoti pants with the heavily decorated kurta. The bride-to-be accessorised her look with a heavy choker necklace. Her hair was pulled back in her signature low bun with a centre part. She matched the outfit with embellished jutis. The actress covered her chooda with a white handkerchief to cater to the rituals.
