With awards season, fashion weeks and more coming up, the fashion world is being taken by storm. At the Emmy Awards 2019 which took place early this morning, a trend which was raging in Bollywood a while back, resurfaced. Pink and red colourblock gowns were big on the purple carpet with the bright pairing spotted in many forms - cascading drape dresses, puffy sleeve wonders and more! Take at how all the celebrities have sported it so far and see how you can incorporate it into your closet!

This Is Us star Mandy Moore arrived in a Brandon Maxwell pink and red number which featured a silk off-shoulder top with a plunging neckline, made from pretty pink silk and a red high waisted skirt with a thigh-high slit. The puffy shoulder sleeves made for an elegant look.

Taraji P Henson also sported the same colourblocking shade in the form of a cascading sheer drape design by Vera Wang and looked like she was having a ball of a time in the free-flowing fun outfit.

Susan Kelechi Watson who also stars in This Is Us also picked out a red and pink combination gown making us wonder if she and Moore decided to match for the night! Her outfit featured a strapless bodycon dress in red with a baby pink silk puffy off-shoulder sleeves!

Marisa Tomei on the other hand picked out a one-shoulder gown with knots at her shoulder and waist that held it together. The outfit featured a thigh-high slit and flowed freely and looked great on her.

Making our way to Bollywood, the colours have been popular here back since the time Katrina sported a colourblocked dress at an event in Mumbai. Her form-fitting dress by Jill Stuart was crisp and clean with a simple and minimalistic design, flattering her lean frame well.

Deepika Padukone was next in line to sport the combination in a Gauri and Nainika one-shouldered top with exaggerated sleeves and tucked into a pair of cigarette pants. The first to sport the combination in pants form!

Taking cue from her contemporaries, Alia Bhatt also donned the this combination by Safiyaa. A pretty pink one shoulder top paired with tomato red pants made her look fresh as a daisy!

Next in line, Shraddha Kapoor donned the combination in the form of a bodycon midi dress with a bright red halter neck which opened into a cape and sweeping train, flattering her frame and and complexion!
