Deepika Padukone was also in attendance at the Filmfare Awards 2019, where she was up to win the Best Actress award for her film Padmavat. The film was one of the biggest hits of 2018 and Deepika had a tough time in 2018 because of the controversies that the film was involved in, before and after of the release. However, the year 2019 has already started on a high for the talented actress as she recently unveiled her wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussaud's in London. The actress wore a look from Alberta Ferretti for the same.
For the Filmfare Awards tonight, she wore another look from Alberta Ferretti, this time from their limited edition couture collection for the year 2019. The all black look had the perfect juxtaposition of a masculine tuxedo jacket on the top and a multi layered tulle skirt that had a tiered effect. The look was styled with a pair of gorgeous, dangling diamond earrings, her signature smokey eyes and hair worn in an unkempt yet chic bun. She kept the make up simple and wore a nude lip which further complimented the whole look.
The whole look was kinda simple, but there's still so much to appreciate. I like that the top was fitted and how it opened into a floor sweeping skirt. The earrings added the right amount of bling and the hair and make up worked in perfect cohesion to the rest of the look. But was the look exciting enough for such a big night? Probably not! But its still a Yay for us. You?
