One of the most exciting events in fashion, Cannes 2019 is in full swing. A listers from both the Bollywood and Hollywood industries are putting their best foot forward to give us some swoon worthy red carpet looks at the high profile film festival. Our favourite Bollywood queen, Deepika Padukone stepped out looking absolutely breathtaking on the red carpet.

We already knew that Padukone would be wearing an outfit by designer and close friend Peter Dundas for the event. But when DP stepped out in the custom made gown, it took our breaths away. The white floor length gown had exaggerated pointed sleeves, a plunging neckline and a sweeping trail. What gave it character, was the oversized black bow in front. She paired this extraordinary outfit with strappy stilettos by Aquazzara, statement diamond earrings, a massive ring and chunky silver bracelets by Lorraine Schwartz. Her accessories went perfectly with her outfit, we thought.

For her makeup, Deepika didn’t hold back. She opted for deep moody lips and dark kohl-lined eyes. Loads of highlighter ensured that she sparkles and looked her glamorous best for the event. Seems like DP is crushing on the high ponytail for she sported slicked back hair and her hair was pulled back into a super high ponytail at the top of her head, which gave her a bold look.

We absolutely love Padukone’s outfit though we think she could give the slicked back hair a break and could have opted for a classy blow dry or even poker straight hair that would go with her look.
