Bridal gowns on Red Carpet - the new thing?
Here's a look at Bridal Gowns spotted on Lux Golden Rose Awards Red Carpet
Lux Golden Rose Awards were held in Mumbai last night and we saw some stunning girls walk down the red carpet wearing their glam best.
When you have an event of this scale and such guests list, I always get excited to see who'll wear what. From thousands of sequins to layers of tulle, our B town beauties always try and bring their A game to the carpet.

But something was different last night. We saw not one, or two, but four bridal looks on the red carpet. The theme for the night was 'Black and Gold', so you can't blame us if we are surprised that we saw 4 bridal looks on the red carpet. From Janhvi in Reem Acra, to Alia in Netta BenShabu, Sonal Chauhan in Valentini Spose and Rakulpreet in Zuhair Murad - all wore bridal gowns to the red carpet.

I'm always cynical about white gowns on the red carpet as they always end up looking bridal, but the funny part is that all these looks are from bridal collections - collections which are specifically designed to cater to to-be brides.

So is this the new red carpet thing and we clearly missed the memo or the B town actresses are bored of wearing ready-to-wear and couture? Another valid question could be as to why not wear Indian designers instead of this irrepressible urge to war international designers ever of they’re unwilling to source out mainstream runway collections?
Let's discuss
