Bharat Song Slow Motion: Disha Patani takes inspiration from Katrina Kaif; here’s proof

Bollywood is known for setting many trends and also getting “inspired” by one another. Be it adapting a novel into a film, remaking a film or giving an old tune a “makeover” and representing it as new, B’Town has done it all. Such is the case with Slow Motion, a song featuring our very own Bhai, Salman Khan and the National crush of India, Disha Patani from the film Bharat.

While the song has clearly struck a chord with people across generations because of its peppy beats, Disha’s costume in the song got us thinking. The sultry actress is seen clad in a mango yellow sheer chiffon saree and that instantly reminded us of Katrina Kaif. Yes, apart from their body type and dancing moves being pretty alike, it was Patani’s saree too which took us straight back to Katrina Kaif’s look in the song “Gale Lag Jaa” co-starring Akshay Kumar from the film “De Dana Dan”.

The similarity is not just limited to the colour of the saree but also in the way it has been draped. The “pallu” has been coiled in a way to amp up the sexiness quotient. Well, Katrina is certainly not the first actress who has supported this warm hue. If you trace back your memory a bit, you’ll notice that Raveena Tandon too had sported the same colour in the sizzling song “Tip Tip Barsa Paani” from Mohra, also co-starring Akshay Kumar. Both Katrina’s and Raveena’s songs were shot in rain, however, Disha’s is on a stage.
