Anamika Khanna opens the FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week with a live show that turns into a glamorous one in seconds

Fashion month is finally here which means both you and I are going to be bombarded with newer trends, glamorous outfits and stunning show-stoppers walking down the ramp. While things are different this year and digital fashion weeks are the new cool, we’re glad that things are getting back to the ‘new normal’ and fashion, in general, is gaining momentum. 

This brings us to the FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week that just aired its first show. Designer, Anamika Khanna opened the fashion week with a bang and there’s nothing less you can expect of her. It was just a few years ago that Kareena Kapoor Khan served as a show stopper for Anamika as she presented the finale. This year she presented an array of outfits that portrayed her unique style in all its glory. The show opened with artists live painting white outfits while models stood there in easy silhouettes. It then transformed into a glamourous amalgamation of embellished outfits with hand-painted wonders. Offbeat silhouettes, cropped pants and fringe details dominated the show while the colour palette of beige, white and black remained constant. 

The show was followed by a rain pour that melted away all the paint to display models in pristine white outfits yet again.
