Alia Bhatt, Malaika Arora, Shahid Kapoor: Best and Worst at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2019

Last night screamed glamour and style at the Vogue Beauty Awards. The who’s who from the fashion and entertainment industry were present at the glitzy event. From Alia Bhatt to Shahid Kapoor to Kriti Sanon to Malaika Arora, to name a few were celebrities who graced the red carpet. So let’s find out the best and worst dressed from the event held last night. 

Alia Bhatt

We fell in love with Alia Bhatt’s look when we first saw it. It was easily our favourite and we were digging it completely. However, when she turned and we saw the entire outfit, we weren’t left quite impressed. Bhatt donned a Michael Costello silver sequin gown. Her dress featured a poncho like silhouette with a layered asymmetrical attached dress and a thigh high slit. Sleek low ponytail with minimal makeup completed her look. 

Sara Ali Khan 

Debutante Sara Ali Khan was present at the happening event and bagged the award for the Fresh Face of the Year. Sara opted for a black ruffled Shriya Som gown. Her outfit bored a sheer top with black sequin work on it with an attached black asymmetrical ruffled skirt with a thigh high slit. The Kedarnath actress styled her look pulled back gelled hair, black smokey eyes and nude lips. We like that she let her dress do all the talking and kept her makeup to a minimal. 

Malaika Arora 

The sexy siren Malaika Arora was at the event and blew our minds away. The stunner rocked an Aadnevik creation. Her dress featured a deep neckline, a sheer bodice with a peplum effect and a tiered attached skirt with a thigh high slit. We love how she left her hair messy with a glossy red lips and silver strappy heels. Pure love! 

Shilpa Shetty Kundra

The diva also graced the red carpet in a head to toe sequin outfit. Shilpa donned a Reem Acra brown and black ombre effect dress. The outfit featured a high neck with full sleeves and a perfectly body hugging silhouette. Pulled back sleek wet hair look with filled in brows and light brown smokey eyes, loads of highlighter and a coral lip rounded off her sexy look. 

Kriti Sanon 

Kriti Sanon is next on our list. The beauty glided down the red carpet in a hot pink Monisha Jaising number. Her gown featured a subtle halter neck with a front cut-out bodice and an attached exaggerated ruffled skirt with a thigh high slit. She styled her look with filled in brows, silver strappy heels, diamond drop earrings, deep brown lips and a wet hair look. Kriti does look pretty but the outfit falls flat and the sheer bodice makes the entire look look extremely off. 

Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar was present at awards show too. The Dum Lagake Haisha actress donned a white Ziad Nakad outfit. Her gown featured a deep V-neckline with cold shouldered bell sleeves and a mermaid fit silhouette with feather trims all over it. She styled her look with Hollywood style curls, filled in brows, silver danglers and mauve glossy lip. The makeup and the outfit too looks extremely off and we think she could have done better. 

The leading men from Bollywood weren’t far behind. Shahid Kapoor in Amit Aggarwal was a legit sight to behold as the dapper actor looked like a million bucks. Vicky Kaushal sticking to his favourite black showed us how to pull off a statement blazer, Siddhant Chaturvedi in his classic grey suit painted a handsome picture.
